Mercury in petrochemicals has adverse affects on the catalysts and piping used in today’s refineries. Problems associated with mercury
contamination can lead to premature shutdowns at a time when refineries are already operating at full capacity. The Hydra-C (Direct Mercury
Analyzer) provides a fast, simple and convenient approach for the measurement of mercury in a wide variety of petrochemicals without the need for any sample pretreatment. Apart from the significant time and labor savings, this approach also eliminates the need for hazardous
chemicals (e.g. mineral acids, etc) and also their associated hazardous wastes.
Typical Applications of the Hydra-C include:
• Crude oils
• Distillates
• Coal
• Drilling aids
• Soils and Sludge
