The new SERVOTOUGH Laser 3 Plus range, from Servomex, the world expert in gas analysis, offers the world’s smallest cross-stack Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) gas analysers.

The compact design and a wider acceptance angle for the transmitted light source means that they can be installed and configured quickly by just one person, unlike the time-intensive set-up of traditional bulky TDL analysers.

In addition, a built-in display for configuration and diagnostics means that a separate laptop is not needed for installation.

The Laser 3 Plus range is optimized to measure CO or O2 for process control, NH3 for ammonia slip applications, and O2, CO or a combination of CO and CH4 for combustion processes.

The Combustion CO and Combustion CO+CH4 models are a must for safety and control applications in gas-fired, oil-fired and coal-fired processes. Designed to monitor CO in flue gas to optimise efficiency and safety, the CO+CH4 version will also monitor flame-out and running conditions to maximize safety.

The Combustion O2 version monitors flue gas to control oxygen levels and optimise combustion efficiency. By using two absorbance lines to measure oxygen, the Laser 3 Plus measures an extensive temperature range spanning ambient to 1500oC temperatures, utilizing either air or nitrogen as purge gases.

The Process versions monitor oxygen or carbon monoxide to ensure safe, efficient and reliable running required by combustion or hydrocarbon processing applications.

All versions use Servomex’s own cuvette line lock technology to avoid signal drift, providing the most reliable solution for safety applications. They also offer the benefits of fast response times, simple installation, low maintenance and no contact with the process.

Rhys Jenkins, Photometric Product Manager at Servomex, said: “The unparalleled installation flexibility, combined with the cost and performance benefits, makes the Laser 3 Plus analyser the ideal solution for key hydrocarbon processing applications.”
