New GC column set accurately quantifies benzene and toluene according to ASTM D3606

The recently launched D3606 column set from Restek performs precise quantification of toluene and benzene, which includes benzene levels in petroleum with ethanol or butanol blends, without compromising coelutions. Restek have revised the formulation with enhanced support material and polymers to improve robustness and reproducibility.

This GC column set is listed in ASTM’s Method D3606, and enables laboratories to achieve an improved separation of benzene and ethanol, whilst maintaining ASTM method requirements. These 2 column sets are all tested individually for ASTM D3606 compatibility and come with a QC test chromatogram including estimated backflush times.
