The ICPC Committee is pleased to announce that the 8th Edition of the International Conference on Polyolefin Characterization will be hosted for the third time Valencia, Spain.

This conference is organised with the researchers of polyolefin industry in mind, intending to cover all the major and most important subjects of polyolefin characterisation. It is the only one of its kind in the sector, and it has gained prestige and popularity among the community because it brings the world’s finest experts together with scientists looking to exchange experiences and know-how specific to characterization techniques.

As in every edition, the quality of the contents is carefully put together so that new, as well as repeating participants can find it of value to their work and professional trajectory. This edition’s technical program will be comprised of: Separation and fractionation, molecular structure and properties, morphology, thermal analysis, rheology, and spectroscopy.

As part of the Conference program, a short course on polyolefin separation techniques is also scheduled for October 25, at the same venue. This one-day intensive course is an ideal way to learn the main concepts about Polyolefin Microstructure, GPC Basics and applications, chemical composition distribution (CRYSTAF, TREF and CEF), cross fractionation, high temperature HPLC and preparative fractionation.

With past editions held in Houston, TX, U.S.A. (2006, 2012, 2018), Valencia, Spain (2008, 2014), Shanghai, China (2010, 2016), it is expected that the third Valencia edition will be as well-received as the previous events. The last ICPC had the participation of more than 150 attendees that represented the major players in polyolefin characterisation from 16 countries.

Throughout all previous editions, the ICPC has received the support of leading chemical, polymer, research and instrumentation companies, such as: Agilent Technologies, Borealis, Braskem, Chevron Phillips, The Dow Chemical Company, the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI), ExxonMobil, SABIC, Lyondellbasell, Malvern Instruments, Polymer Char, Tosoh Bioscience, Polymer Standards Service (PSS), Postnova Analytics, Progression Inc., SCG Chemicals, Shenhua, Waters Corporation or Wyatt Technology.

As always, the conference will have a posters session, booth areas and vendor speeches.
