The Hybrid IND 3000 Process Analyser, from Monitor Instruments (USA) integrates two very powerful technologies, Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Gas Chromatography (GC) to broaden their application base and reduce cost of ownership. Monitor’s patented cycloid MS has near perfect ion focus producing excellent trapezoidal mass peak shape and reduced mass spillover, both important for direct inlet process MS. 

The EO EditionGC utilises a halogen specific detector for ethylene oxide production plants. The GC rapidly measures all organochloride components used to optimise catalyst selectivity while the real-time MS data provides for precise process monitoring and control.   The Energy EditionGC module uses a pulsed discharge detector to measure inorganic gases, light C1-C5 hydrocarbons, and sulphur gases at low levels.   The integrated analyser is optimized for the composition of synthesis gas (coal or natural gas derived), combustion products, as well as the production of hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, and liquid fuel products derived from syngas.    Monitor Instruments LLC produces integrated analyser packages for demanding chemical measurement fields. Among these are deep ocean chemical measurement packages, on-line process measurement and control, non-invasive medical diagnostics, and laboratory or pilot plant gas analysis.
