Since Mitsubishi Chemical Analytech released the new CA/KF-31 lineup, there has been overwhelming positive reaction from the market for its features and performance, especially the CONVERTIBLE feature of the KF-31.

Not only is the KF-31 a compact and versatile volumetric Karl Fischer instrument, it comes with the one and only CONVERTIBLE feature. What this means is that the KF-31 can be used not only as a volumetric Karl Fischer system, but also as a coulometric system by simply replacing the cell set. This allows the user to use one compact, cost efficient unit to fulfil both coulometric and volumetric applications. No more need to purchase a high end, expensive instrument to cover the complete application range.

The CA-31 has also attracted many customer’s attention as a simple, rugged coulometric instrument. Both CA-31 and KF-31 are equipped with a 5.7-inch colour LCD touch panel which enables the user to operate practically manual-free, and all necessary information visible in one view. With the optional battery and carrying case, these instruments quickly transforms from benchtop to portable apparatus. They can be taken to the field where measurements need to be done on site.

Numerous vaporisers from the Mitsubishi product line-up can be connected to CA/KF-31 to accommodate difficult to dissolve samples such as powders, pellets, pastes, lubricants, etc. By connecting Mitsubishi’s model VG-200 to CA/KF-31, liquefied gas samples can also be measured easily.

PC software TV-31 will enable users to collect measurement results from CA/KF-31 and prepare reports with titration charts, parameters, calculation formula, etc. in Microsoft Word or Excel format.

The instrument can be purchased together with Mitsubishi’s Aquamicron® series of Karl Fischer reagents covering the whole range of coulometric anode/cathode solutions and volumetric solvents/titrants. These reagents are developed together with the instruments for the best combined performance.

Furthermore, the CA/KF-31 comes in two colours; Samurai Black and Sakura Pink. Mitsubishi thinks that users should be able to have some fun when choosing instruments, not just comparing specs and prices.
