Julabo’s PRESTO represent an entirely generation of highly dynamic temperature control systems. The PRESTO systems are designed for precise temperature control as well as rapid temperature changes, making them ideal for reactor vessels, material stress tests, or temperature simulations.
The PRESTO from Julabo represents the state-of-the-art for modern laboratories. These instruments cover a working temperature range of -92°C to +250°C with high cooling and heating capacity. Maximum heating capacity can also be adapted to fluctuations in the mains power supply. Highly efficient components give these instruments the ability to compensate for exothermic and endothermic reactions with extraordinary speed. The PRESTO units are extremely robust and work reliably even if the ambient temperature climbs as high as +40°C. The integrated cooling machine and an internal, cooled expansion vessel absorb volume changes in the heat exchanger.
Power to the pumps
Magnetically-coupled pumps in the PRESTO units are powerful and maintenance-free. Lab users benefit from high flow rates, constant pressure, and a controlled build-up of pump pressure. Changes in the temperature-control liquid’s viscosity are balanced dynamically. Permanent internal monitoring and self-lubricating pumps contribute to the PRESTO’s long service life. The operator can adjust pump capacity by selecting one of four stages or by entering a specific pressure. Once entered, the pressure value will be maintained throughout the entire process. The closed pumping loop isolates the heat transfer liquid from ambient air, preventing penetration of moisture and oxidation. At the same time, this design ensures that the PRESTO will not emit oil vapour.
Raising the bar on user friendliness
The integrated 5.7-inch industrial colour TFT touch screen is one of the identifying characteristics of the PRESTO. It gives the user a clear and well-organised view of important information while greatly improving user-friendliness. Fingertip control via the new touchscreen makes it incredibly easy to operate the PRESTO units.
International users can choose from eight different languages. Three different views of important information are provided by default and may be adapted by the user at any time.
Password management for one administrator and up to two additional levels of authorisation makes it easier to manage laboratory procedures. For example, an administrator can set common parameters in advance and then restrict other employees' access rights so they are only able to retrieve the pre-set parameters.
Useful features and extensive interfaces
Julabo’s PRESTO instruments contain many features that make daily laboratory routines easier.
For example, the PRESTO units use one and the same heat transfer liquid across the entire working temperature range. The filling opening for the liquid is easily accessible on the top side of the unit.
Like all Julabo instruments, the new PRESTO have closed side panels without ventilation slits. This reduces to a minimum the amount of space needed to operate the units because the application or any other lab instruments may be placed directly next to the PRESTO.
Multiple interfaces permit remote control of the PRESTO across networks and in superordinated control systems. The integrated Ethernet interface provides complete access to all of PRESTO’s operating functions.
Yet another control option is the USB interface, a first in dynamic temperature control systems. When combined with the proven Julabo WirelessTEMP solution, it permits completely wireless control of the instrument.
Many PRESTO devices for a temperature range from -92°C to 250°C
PRESTO starts with the A30, covering a temperature range from -30°C to +250°C. For the temperature range from -40°C to +250°C the A40 as air-cooled model or the W40 with water-cooling are available. The PRESTO A45 (-45°C to +250°C) can be ordered with an additional heating unit and is then able to offer a heating capacity of up to 12 kW. The water-cooled models W50 and W50t provide high cooling capacity of up to 7.5 kw (at +20°C).
The dual-stage systems start with the A80 and W80 (-80°C to +250°C) which are also available with an additional heating unit to provide more heating power. The A85 and W85 systems are available as air-cooled or water-cooled systems with cooling capacity of up to 2.5 kW (at +20°C). The W91 and W92 systems can be used with a powerful centrifugal pump or they can be optionally equipped with a gear pump which allows the usage of fluids with higher viscosity.
All PRESTO systems come with variable pumps – this and many more features ensure maximum safety for your applications.
