Separators are at the heart of any offshore or onshore oil and gas production facility.

A challenge for separator operation is the interface measurement and control between oil, emulsion and water. This can be relatively simple or extremely complicated, because often there is not a distinct interface between the various phases, but rather a continuous graduation from one phase to another.

Also of great concern is the frequent maintenance work required by mechanical displacer type level devices and switches.

For optimal separation process performance, you need a combination of know-how and applied technology to ensure reliable information on all key parameters such as temperature, pressure, level, flow and interface.

Read on to find out more about how you can increase the efficiency of your separation process.
