European Lab Services introduces ISO17025 verification for smoke point and Rancimat oxidation stability tester.

European Lab Services (ELS) is a brand-independent supplier of ISO 17025 verification of lab equipment for petroleum analysis. ELS is the only company worldwide performing on-site performance evaluation of flash point testers, density analysers, cold properties testers (CPP, FZP, CFPP, …), viscometers and various others according to ISO 17025. Recently ELS released two new verification procedures.

ELS is now fully capable for the ISO17025 verification of smoke point analysers according to ASTM D1322. During the test the calibration engineer performs calibration of the barometric pressure, verifies the volume and height measurement, programs and verifies the offsets and runs a final test using a reference sample.

A second new verification is the Rancimat oxidation stability tester (Metrohm) operating in accordance with NBN-EN 15751. For this instrument the engineer checks and adjusts the bath temperature and air flow in 8 test cells.

Every step of the process is checked and the analyser will be ready to use with the proper certification of accuracy, repeatability and of course traceability.
