Centurion Scientific Ltd (UK) launched the new centrifuge products at PEFTEC 2015, and the repsonse has been extraordinary.

The Petroleum market requires efficient centrifugation. The water and sediment content of crude oil is significant because it can cause corrosion of equipment and problems in processing. A determination of water and sediment content is required to accurately measure net volumes of actual oil for the purpose of sales, taxation and custody transfers.

Centurion Scientific have been manufacturing cutting edge bench top centrifuges for over 27 years. C J Priestley, Centurion Scientific Ltd’s CEO says, “We have been supplying non-heated centrifuges for many years, following demand from customers and distributors we are excited to now offer a heated oil testing centrifuge.”

Centrifuges are commonly used to measure: water and sediment in crude oil, fuel oil and middle distillate fuel; the precipitation number of lubricating oils and insoluble’s in used lubricating oils. The PrO-ASTM centrifuges were designed with the following ASTM Methods in mind: D91, D96, D893, D1796, D2709 and D4007.

C J Priestley adds “Customer satisfaction is vitally important; our business has grown because we offer reliability and high quality products.  The PrO-ASTM products are purpose made oil test centrifuges and can be used for heated or non heated applications, as well as for many ASTM applications. The PrO-ASTM is fit for purpose, built to the highest specification and with a 3 year warranty will be an ideal and affordable addition to any Petroleum or Oil Testing laboratory”.

The PrO-ASTM centrifuge range will be available internationally, Centurion Scientific are actively recruiting new distribution partners with experience in the Petroleum and Oil Testing markets to further support customers.
