The FLIR GF346 optical gas imaging camera has been designed to quickly detect and visualise escaping carbon monoxide (CO) and 17 other harmful gases from a safe distance without the need to interrupt your plant's production.

Carbon monoxide (CO) emissions can be a significant threat to primary steel manufacturing operations and other industries where CO emissions need to be closely watched. Even the slightest leak in a vent stack or pipe can have a devastating effect. To help ensure safety, protect the environment and your investment in infrastructure, the FLIR GF346 camera enables fast detection of CO emissions.

FLIR Systems' GF346 camera can scan large areas rapidly and pinpoint leaks in real time. It is ideal for monitoring plants where it is difficult to reach components with contact measurement tools such as gas sniffers. Literally thousands of components can be scanned per shift without the need to interrupt the process.

Incorporating the FLIR GF346 as a leak detection / maintenance tool has been proven to reduce repair downtime and provide verification of the steel manufacturing process. From an operational standpoint using the FLIR GF346 is exceptionally safe, as it allows potentially dangerous leaks to be monitored from a distance of up to 100 metres.
