CorDEX Instruments’ (UK) UT5000 intrinsically safe ultrasonic thickness gauge measures tank and wall thickness quickly and easily without risk. ATEX and IECEx certified for potentially explosive gas and dust environments, UT5000 can operate safety within hazardous areas without the need for hot work permits.

Accurate and cost effective thickness measurement is increasingly important to industries that cannot shutdown to enable standard preventive maintenance inspections. UT5000 incorporates high performance features such as; echo-echo, pulse-echo, multi-echo and continuous scan modes. Accuracy of upto ±0.1mm over the measurement range, ensures that even the smallest defect can be detected long before it becomes a problem.

With its on board RFID scanner, UT5000 can link thickness readings to an RFID tag location for later download into CorDEX CONNECT database software provided free of charge with each UT5000. CorDEX CONNECT allows users to trend thickness measurements over time quickly and easily.
