Good News for hundreds of customers worldwide as Scion Instruments completed their acquisition of the Bruker Gas Chromatography products on December 1st 2014. After Bruker announced their decision to exit the applied gas chromatography market, many wondered what would happen to one of the leading providers of GC solutions for the Petro, Petrochemical, and Energy Markets. In September it was announced that a tentative agreement was in place for Techcomp LTD to buy those assets and form Scion Instruments. On December 1st this came to be with the formation of Scion Instruments, based in Fremont California at the same location where Bruker had located the GC applied business. Scion Instruments formation ensures continued robust life and development for the former Varian GC and GCMS SQ products, including Compass CDS, MS Workstation and automated sampling instruments and accessories
