Phenomenex Inc (USA) presented a workshop, “Analytical Challenges in Biofuel Analysis,” at the recent 2009 Pittsburgh Conference in Chicago.

Speakers included Jim Mott of Shimadzu, Professor Foster Agblevor of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Professor Blake Simmons of Lawrence Berkeley Labs’ Bioenergy Institute and Amy Sluiter of National Renewable Energy Labs, as well as Sky Countryman of Phenomenex.

The workshop covered important current topics in this growing field including new GC solutions for ethanol analysis and new methods and advanced imaging techniques for biomass applications.
