INTERKAMA+ is growing. Between 21 and 25 April, Hannover Messe 2008 (the Hannover Fair, in Germany) will be showcasing even more exhibitors and cutting-edge developments at the world’s leading process automation trade fair. Due to popular demand, INTERKAMA+ is being extended by an extra hall.
“This amazing response proves how successful INTERKAMA+ has been for
visitors,” explains Dr. Gunther Kegel, President of INTERKAMA+.
This success has been boosted even further by growth on the market. According to the Automation Product Division of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), the electrical process automation sector expects to see growth of 10 to 11 percent in
2007. What’s more, sales growth of seven to eight percent is forecast for 2008. This trend is reflected by equally impressive growth in the number of early bookings taken for the fair. Over 90 percent of the
companies that exhibited in 2007 have already confirmed they will be back in 2008. Added to that are over 30 applications from companies that will be making their debut appearance at INTERKAMA+ in 2008. “SMEs want a slice of the pie too, and exhibiting at the trade fair is the ideal opportunity to break into a growth area,” comments Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President of HANNOVER MESSE.
“By covering topics such as Asset Management andWireless Hart, next year’s INTERKAMA+ will provide a fascinating insight for product managers in the process engineering industry in particular,” adds Thomas Rilke, head of Industry Automation at HANNOVER MESSE.
New topic structures will make it easier for visitors to find exactly what they’re looking for while also enabling exhibiting companies to focus on specific target groups. INTERKAMA+ 2008 will cover actuator technology, analysis metrology, engineering and services, functional safety, measuring and control systems, wireless automation and asset management.
