Dr. Clara Caminada, 38 years old, has been recently appointed as Vice President of the Business Unit Process Analytics at Hamilton Bonaduz AG. For the last five years, Dr. Caminada was leading the Marketing department of that same Business Unit. “I am the first women in the Hamilton boardroom - and that has been greatly welcomed by all my colleagues. I am very happy that the board chose continuity”, explains Clara Caminada and adds that her focus lies on furthering the development and growth of the Business Unit Process Analytics. She worked already in her prior position closely with the former vice president. They developed together with the management team a direction, which will be further expanded. The broad alignment in the Business Unit around this vision is essential for autonomous and efficient decision making in the daily business. She doesn’t think much of politically set diversity quotas. “Employees should be hired and promoted due to their abilities and not because of a set gender quotas. At the same time, diversity is a major driving force of team performance. I built a team very mixed in terms of personality, gender, age or culture for that exact reason”, explains Dr. Caminada conclusively.
