The intelligent ultrasonic limit switch Sonocontrol 40 from Sonotec (Germany) controls the level of liquids and liquid gases. The new device of the Sonocontrol series is used as a non-intrusive level control system through the wall, consisting of a probe, fastening, couplant and evaluation instrument.

The ultrasonic measurement method is applicable in numerous industrial fields like the chemical industry, petrochemistry, food industry and the pharmaceutical sector.

The non-intrusive system can be used for ride-height control, full-/empty signaling, protection against dry running, position control, ice level control, limit control in liquids and liquid gases and for air bubble- and solid detection.

The Sonocontrol 40 combines application diversity with an outstanding operating simplicity. The new innovative measuring method allows an easy installation. The device can be factory-set for measuring tasks of serial operations (plug-and-play). Additionally, the device consists of an easy operating software, which also facilitates individual measurement adjustments. The compact configuration of the ultrasonic limit switch, containing sender and amplifier, ensures an optimal operating mode. The new evaluation method of the device leads to increased system reliability. Since the installation of the sensor occurs from the outside, abrasion and leakages can be avoided. This advantage is very useful whenever the sensor system cannot be installed within the pipe or the container due to high pressure, aggressive mediums or in fields with high hygienic standards.
