Time Domain Refflectometry or as commonly called, TDR is one of the newest technologies in Level Metering. The main advantage of this technology is its immunity from medium density and extreme pressure and temperature.

Nivelco’s (Hungary) MicroTREK range of TDR level transmitters based on this technology offer excellent price to performance ratios for applications up to 40 bar pressures and 200°C temperatures. The compact transmitter featuring a plastic or aluminium enclosure is programmable and readable through its digital HART protocol or, locally by means of a plug-in display unit.

The transmitter may come with 1 or 1 1/2 inch process connections or with flanges. A wide selection of probes, rigid or flexible cover ensure a remarkable range of applications for monitoring liquids and free flowing solids. Single, dual or coaxial probes, which are bare or plastic coated, facilitate the use of the MicroTREK range in various mediums.

Explosion proof approvals by ATEX make the MicroTREK an attractive choice for users in the Petrochemical Industries.

Regarded to be notoriously difficult; level metering of hot and sticky bitumen is easily achievable by using the MicroTREK range.
