Metrohm Applikon (Netherlands) expands its on-line sensing technologies to include Thermometric Titration. This proven robust analytical technique is ideal for difficult complex matrices where high concentrations of salts, acids and other etching compounds are commonly found. Measurement times are approximately 3 times faster than their potentiometric counterparts with little to no maintenance required even when used in aggressive solvents. Typical applications include acid and base numbers in various petroleum products, chloride and calcium in drilling fluids, surfactants, moisture, sodium, carbonate, iodine value and glycerol. Thermometric titration further expands the versatility of the Process Analyser 2045TI, allowing the analysis of an unlimited range of different compounds.

For hazardous environments the new ADI 2045TI Ex proof’s smart design avoids the need for purging large analyser shelters, reducing utility costs and eliminating the need for «Hot work permits» when conducting routine maintenance on the analyser. The ATEX certified Process Analyser can be located at the production line in any hazardous environment saving costs on expensive infrastructures.
