LexMar Global’s MagStation™ Lite process Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) analyser provides superior industrial performance in a compact and affordable package. LexMar Global Inc. configures the NMR analysis system with or without sample temperature control to meet a wide variety of petrochemical customer needs. Like the automated MagStation II, the MagStation Lite is scalable to on-line manufacturing applications utilising LexMar Global's MagModule II technology.

The MagStation Lite analyser provides a preferred method which is quick and easy to perform, simple to calibrate, and requires minimal sample preparation. As such, it is ideal for routine operation either in a laboratory or production environment without any requirement for additional chemicals, consumables or special operator training.

NMR is approved for the following ASTM Standards:  D7171-05, D3701-01 and D4808-01. Minimal sample preparation is required, the NMR technique is non-destructive and the sample measurement time is < 1min. NMR is very stable - no calibration adjustments are needed - and the measurement precision is excellent

The instrument can be calibrated using samples of known hydrogen content which span the range of interest. A list of chemicals is recommended in the standard method. In Figure 1, the results show a correlation coefficient of 1.0 and standard deviation of 0.03.

Other applications for MagStation Lite include Waxes, Polystyrene, Polypropylene, Polyethylene and PVC.
