Ex zones and special environmental conditions necessitate safety protection measures in order to avoid explosions and to ensure plant and/or equipment uptime. Normally, water analyzing equipment will be installed into analyser shelters with climate control. With its online TOC and COD analysers QuickTOCultra and QuickCODultra, LAR Process Analysers offers stand-alone measuring equipment with special explosion-proof housings. With regard to maintenance efforts, LAR's measurement systems equipped with explosion-proof housings provide a easy-to-manage solution compared to analyser shelters. All protection housings are in accordance with the latest ATEX, NEMA 4X as well as IECEx standards.
LAR's stand-alone analysers do not necessarily require air-conditioned shelters, providing an easier way to operate the measurement systems. All housings are made specifically for the use within hazardous, potentially explosive environments in accordance with the latest ATEX and IECEx standards such as European Directive 94/9/EC and international standards IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-2. Protective housings of LAR measurement systems are classified as protection type Ex-p, with analyser housing under controlled overpressure. LAR analyser systems can be used in ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 (T3/T4) as well as in IECEx Zone 1 T4.
