The QuickTOCuv of LAR Process Analysers AG is a continuous operating online analyser for the determination of total organic carbon (TOC) and total carbon (TC) in water. The parameters are determined using the UV persulphate method in accordance with EN 1484:1997 and US-EPA 415.2. In this procedure, carbons are oxidised to CO2 using a digestion reagent (sodium persulphate) and UV light. Then, the produced CO2 is measured by a NDIR detector and the carbon content is quantified. The response time (T90) takes place in less than 5 minutes enabling operators to take countermeasures in case of pollution. LAR's QuickTOCuv can monitor two sample streams. The clear, compact measuring system complies with common safety standards and has been designed to be particularly maintenance- and user-friendly. Moreover, the analyzer can be equipped with explosion-proof housings for ex zone 1 and 2 guaranteeing safe operation in hazardous areas. The method used of QuickTOCuv is, in particular, suitable for particle-free process water and for monitoring drinking and surface water.
