ASTM distillation systems successfully moved and installed at new built pilot plant in South Korea

Since 2002, SK Innovation, Korea's first and largest energy-chemical company, has been successfully operating numerous distillation systems for crude oil determination conforming to the ASTM D1160, D2892 and D5236 standards, manufactured and supplied by i-Fischer, a division of ILUDEST Destillationsanlagen GmbH/Germany, closely supported by their Korean representatives SOLETEK Trading Co., Ltd.

In total SK Innovation currently operates 17 ASTM units of ILUDEST/i-Fischer brand, covering reboiler sizes from 2…250 ltr.

By the end of 2019, all units were moved, reinstalled and recommissioned successfully into/at a newly constructed modern pilot plant.

Two of the TBP-systems, which had been operating since 2002, an ASTM-System “i-Fischer^® Dist D-2892 CC - 20 ltr” and an ASTM-System “i-Fischer^® Dist D-2892 CC - 6 ltr”, following ASTM D2892 up to 400°CAET, were upgraded and equipped with controllers and fully automatic fraction collectors of the latest design by ILUDEST and SOLETEK’s team in order to meet future demand. These units were completely overhauled and recommissioned promptly and efficiently to ensure the successful upgrade at the pilot plant.
