Since 2013 Thai Oil’s Si Racha refinery has successfully operated a combined distillation system conforming to the ASTM D2892 and D5236 standards as well as a D5236 "High Vac" up to a FBP of ≈ 620…650°CAET.

As Thai Oil Refinery is currently extending its production capacity up to 450,000 BPD to become one of the largest refineries in the world, new QC-laboratories have to be built. Therefore, since early 2019, the service team of ILUDEST/i-Fischer and ILAB Fluid Control has disassembled the combined system consisting of the three units: the FISCHER® AUTODEST® 800 AC, TBP-System, following ASTM D2892 up to 400°CAET, the FISCHER® AUTODEST® 860 AC, Potstill-System, following ASTM D5236 to up to 565°CAET and a FISCHER® AUTODEST® 860 HV, extended Potstill-System, up to 620…650°CAET, and moved it to the true boiling point laboratory in the new QC-Building.

In the new building the Combi-System was reassembled, completely overhauled and recommissioned satisfactorily. The time frame for managing this relocation job was very narrow because the refinery frequently uses the distillation system, to optimise their profitability as well as for common quality control. ILUDEST Destillationsanlagen GmbH/

i-Fischer will be exhibiting at PEFTEC through their colleagues at Zematra, on stands 46-49.
