Galvanic Applied Sciences has introduced the world’s first analyser designed to combine tail gas measurement with measurements after the thermal stage in the Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU). This added loop is much faster than the current Claus analysis, lowering SO2 emissions and avoiding major SRU plant upsets. The Brimstone™ 943TGX is a 4-compound (H2S, SO2, COS, CS2) analyser with patented “cold-finger” probe design, assuring no down-time from de-misting procedures or sample plugging, even in the presence of very high sulphur samples.
