Interactive selection guide simplifies thin film selection

Chemplex® has developed an interactive Windows application to make thin-film selection easy. You can explore and compare different thin-films and their percent transmittance at various energies so you can get consistent results.

Chemplex have created the following simple three-step approach to thin-film selection. Firstly, for chemical resistance, select a thin-film based on its chemical resistance to the sample being analysed. For percent transmittance you need to determine the thin-film’s thickness resulting the highest percent transmittance values, or lowest x-ray absorption, at the analyte lines of interest.  Finally, for the hin-film configuration, choose a thin-film format that is most convenient for your application.
