Indian Startup Delivers Fuel to Your Door

In a move that's won global headlines, an Indian startup has launched a door-to-door diesel delivery service designed to eliminate dead mileage in company fleets, as well as minimise spillage, pilferage and contamination. Currently used by corporations such as JW Marriott, Indian Premier League and Sunburn Festival, Repos Energy fills a yawning gap in the fuel procurement market. The concept is simple, with clients using an app to order diesel from trusted suppliers at the touch of a button. 

“Our aim is to extend convenience to end-consumers through technology and enable petrol pump owners at the same time,” says Walunj.

Repos Energy making waves across India

Backed by iconic Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, Repos Energy currently operates in 65 cities. It was founded by husband-wife duo Aditi Bhosale Walunj and Chetan Walunj, who are harnessing the power of cloud technology and portable payment solutions to offer a fast, efficient and cost-effective fuel delivery service. The company has already partnered with over 150 retail outlets across the country. A savvy approach to minimising India's carbon footprint

For Mr and Mrs Walunj, Repos Energy is not just inspired by convenience, but also has the power to significantly reduce India's carbon footprint. "These smart solutions will help us solve one of the biggest problems that India faces today: Wastage of diesel to procure diesel leading to environmental damage due to pollution and spillages," reads the Repos Energy website.

As well as disrupting the consumer fuel market, Repos Energy proved immensely helpful during the aftermath of cyclone Fani, providing mobile petrol pumps to refuel rescue speedboats.

Rapid growth on the horizon for Repos

Repos Energy currently provides door-to-door diesel delivery services to 300 bulk consumers across the country. The company has its sights set on rapid growth, with plans to target sales of 160 million litres of diesel a day in the next five years. If it's successful, this will account for a huge 65% of total daily diesel consumption in India.
