The EMP-3 is a compact, lightweight and highly reliable portable continuous mercury vapour analyser which will be exhibited by BA Systemen on PEFTEC stands 60 and 61. The measurement range is as wide as 0 to 2,000µg/Nm3, and the response time is only 1 second. The mercury concentration is measured by atomic absorption spectroscopy at absorbance of 253.7nm wavelength. Measurement data is saved in CSV format in the SD card, which can be easily analysed. With the internal GPS, the measurement location is automatically logged.

The EMP-3 has a function that automatically corrects interference from obstructing substances in the background. Even at sites where the existence of gas that shows positive interference (such as hydrocarbon gas) is suspected, the equipment instantly detects and measures specific mercury vapour concentrations.
