Anaspec’s (The Netherlands) BiodieselIR is a Polychromatic Diode Array analyser, designed for liquid measurements, scanning from 1100 to 2100 nm with quartz halogen light source and a highly sensitive InGaAs diode line detector. Online measurement via probe with 5 mm path length.
Upgradeable for 4 positions with multiplexer, it is intended to be placed inline or near the production line and measures various properties, like the free, mono, di, tri-glycerides and methanol content, in the different process steps and final control of biodiesel production.
Models for other properties or process streams can be developed on request. For example the IV, FFA and moisture content in the incoming raw material with a fibre optic coupled heatable vial holder in less than 2 minutes.
