Two New Industrial Flow Meters hit the market
Mar 17 2009
Sierra expands its industry-leading Steel-Trak™ Model 640S Immersible Thermal Flow Meter product line with the addition two new features/capabilities. The Steel-Trak™ Model 640S is now available with a high-temperature option capable of trouble-free operation in process temperatures up to 750°F (400°C) and with a new self-cleaning purge port field-proven to remove even the toughest caked-on dust deposits from the sensing elements.
Steel-Trak™ Model 640S for High Temperatures to 750°F (400°C)
Popular in heavy industry, the Steel-Trak™ Model 640S is designed for the most demanding industrial flow measurement applications. Constructed of heavy-duty 316 stainless steel wetted materials, the high-temperature version of the Model 640S includes remote-mounted electronics and mineral-insulated cabling resistant to very high temperatures.
The Model 640S is already in use in such critical applications as electrical power generation, stack gas measurement, petrochemical refining and steel-making. The 640S HT is currently the meter-of-choice in coal-fired power plants, where combustion air is pre-heated to temperatures approaching 500°F (260°C) prior to it being mixed with the pulverized coal and burned in the boiler to produce steam for electricity. Steel-Trak™ Model 640S With Self-Cleaning Purge Port
The new self-cleaning Steel-Mass™ Model 640S is designed for the most demanding industrial gas mass flow measurement applications. Constructed of heavy-duty 316 stainless steel wetted materials, the self-cleaning Model 640S is designed for very dirty flows where residue buildup can occur over time on the sensors causing reduced accuracy. The self-cleaning 640S is field proven to remove even the toughest caked-on dust deposits on the meter. Click here for full details.
