A new and highly promising trade fair has joined the ranks of international metallurgy fairs hosted by Messe Düsseldorf. From 30 November to 2 December 2010, the international trade fair Valve World Conference & Exhibition will premiere in the Düsseldorf exhibition halls, accompanied by a congress for industrial valves. Valve World opened its gates in 1998 and took place bi-annually in Maastricht, The Netherlands, until it grew too large. In 2008, the Messe Düsseldorf GmbH (Germany) bought it as an internal event. An international marketing campaign, which was even nominated for the 2010 edition of the German Advertising Yearbook, advertised the move from the Maas to the Rhine.

The gates of fair halls three and four will open from 30th November onwards. More than 460 companies from 34 countries will display plants from the areas such as gaskets, sealing materials and tubular products for valves and services. Relevant associations and publishers will also be present. More than 13.000 net square metres have been reserved. Next to German companies, the majority of exhibitors come from Italy, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Taiwan, USA, South Korea, India and China. The accompanying Valve World Conference will take place in the Congress Centre South (CCD South), directly next to hall three. KCI, publishing from the Netherlands is responsible for the conference, which is expected to draw more than 500 participants.

Producers of components and end products will find their suppliers in the ranks of the exhibitors, whereas large makers of plants will find their components on display by other participants of the Valve World Expo. The organisers expect a total of around 7.000 professional visitors, coming from different sectors including the chemical and plant engineering industries. The three-day fair will take place from 9.30 am to 18.00 pm. A day ticket costs €25 and a season ticket for the event costs €40. A fair catalogue can be obtained for €10. Tickets can be ordered from the internet portal for a reduced price. Online prices are €19 for a day ticket and €35 euro for a season ticket.
