New variable area flowmeter with extensive options for very low flow rates

KROHNE has launched their new H250 M40 variable area flowmeter, now available with extensive options for low flow measurement. The flowmeter’s existing DK32, DK34 and DK37/M8M purgemeters are now rated as SIL2 compliant.

The new H250 M40 low flow option features an extensive range of process connections, communication options and Ex-approvals and now offers the DK37 purgemeter’s small measuring cones. The new option is suitable for liquid flows starting at 0.16 liters per hour / 0.04 gallons per hour and gas flows starting at 1.6 l/h / 0.06 standard cubic feet per hour (SCFH).

Formerly rated SIL1, the DK32, DK34 and DK37/M8M purgemeters have been re-assessed as SIL2 compliant according to IEC 61508-2:2010 for both NAMUR safety switches and NAMUR standard switches. Optional mechanical flow controllers or flange adapters are included in the SIL compliance.
