New Addition to Flow Family

Faure Herman’s (France) FH8400 custody transfer flowmeter for light and medium viscosity products is the latest addition to their family of cutting edge ultrasonic meters.

This flow meter is designed to measure custody transfer flows of low to medium viscosity hydrocarbon products. The FH8400 can be used in applications on platforms, in pipelines, at terminals, loading and unloading stations, FSO and FPSO operations.

The flow rate is calculated using the transit time measurement of an ultrasonic impulse signal. Six compact sensors that are field replaceable under system pressure are used in conjunction with a compact, integrated electronic converter to produce the customer’s required outputs.

The FH8400 offers an accurate measurement of bi-directional process flows down to +/- .15%. The unit includes simplified electronics for rapid, maintenance free installation and is available in sizes from 80 to 600 mm (3 to 24 inches).

The accuracy of the flow measurement is certified in accordance with OIML R117-1 /MID Class 0.3.
