Emerson Process Management Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters are
certified by the Nederlands Meetinstituut (NMi) as complying with
the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID; nr. 2004/22/E).

The directive harmonises the requirements applied to all measuring
devices used for custody transfer applications across twenty seven EU countries. The intent is to create a single market for measuring
instruments across Europe. The MID is a CE marking directive.
Meeting the custody transfer standard, Emerson’s Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters provide significant customer benefits through cost savings on approval procedures and reduced commissioning times. The approval simplifies and streamlines order processing as standard products will be suitable for installation in any European country.

Emerson is committed to ensuring all of its products meet the latest industry standards, and its Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters are the first to obtain an EC type examination certificate for gas meters and an MID evaluation certificate for liquid meters when used as part of a measuring system.

In addition, Emerson’s Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters are the only flowmeters that have a MID certificate for a complete industrial liquid metering skid when these are supplied by Emerson.
