Brookfield Engineering Laboratories (USA) will have their industry standard viscometers for fracturing fluid on display at Oilfield Chemistry Conference April 11-13, 2011 in Houston (USA).

The display will take place at Booth # 102. Brookfield will show it’s PVS high temperature, high pressure lab rehometor and real-time viscosity TT-100 viscometer.

The PVS is a dynamic coaxial cylinder, controlled shear rate rheometer allowing quick and easy viscosity measurements under pressure at temperatures where sample boil off is a problem.

The PVS can be used to simulate process conditions for small fluid samples in a laboratory benchtop environment including chemical compounds containing volatile materials, oil industry, drilling muds and fracturing fluids applications.

Field engineers on-site at oil and gas drilling wells can perform rapid viscosity tests which simulate pressurised process conditions for down-hole environments. The PVS ensures fast, accurate viscosity measurement, data collection and analysis of small fluid samples (tested under pressure and elevated temperatures) before they are pumped down-hole.
