Pressure Gauge for Chemical Applications with DNV Certificate

Jan 10 2008

The series D4, D7 and D8 Afriso-Euro-Index GmbH (Germany) Bourdon tube pressure gauges for chemical applications now come with DNV (Det Norske Veritas) certificate. This means they are approved for application on DNV-certified ships, speedboats and oil platforms and can be used in all DNV-certified offshore areas (DNV is a world-wide, leading classification body with 300 representations in 100 countries. DNV was founded in Norway in 1864 to control and rate the technical requirements of Norwegian merchant vessels. Currently, 16.5 % of the world's marine vessels are DNV-classified).

The sturdy Bourdon tube pressure gauges for chemical applications are designed for pressure measurement of gaseous and liquid media in rough and aggressive environments. The ranges reach from 1/0 bar to 0/1600 bar (accuracy class 1.0). The pressure gauges are suitable for ambient temperatures from 20°C to +60°C and media temperatures up to +150°C. The housings are made of stainless steel 1.4301 and have a pressure relief port. The pressure gauges can be made to customer specifications with various housing diameters, bottom or back connection, glycerine or silicone filling, different types of fastening and special scales. Some versions are available with electrical contacts for switching and control tasks. However, these pressure gauges for chemical applications are not just predestined for naval and offshore applications, but are also just as suitable for use in the chemical industry, in machine building as well as in process and environmental technology applications.
