As the cold weather approaches for northern climates, consider upgrading old laboratory cold properties analysers for fuels. For example, Lawler’s (USA) Model DR4-14L Automatically tests both for cloud point and cold filter plugging point (CFPP) for diesel and biodiesel.

Model DR4-14L conforms to EN-116/ASTM D6371 for CFPP and ISO 3015/ASTM D2500 for Cloud Point in two fully independent positions down to -70°C.

The DR4 series automated analysers use the Lawler developed concept of Direct Refrigeration. The metal test jacket for cloud, pour, and CFPP methods is directly cooled by the refrigerant, thus replacing the middle step of first cooling flammable alcohol bath medium.

Lawler’s DR4 Series also features a sophisticated controller with a color touch panel with non-volatile memory. DR4 eliminates the need for external desktop and laptop computers or imbedded PC’s and the problems associated with PC’s such as hard drive failures, virus problems, and operating system troubles.
