Founded on 1 April 1878 by Mrs. Tamson (pictured right) in dedication to her husband Paulus Marinus Tamson, the company began as a wholesaler. Trading in provision of laboratory equipment in the field of chemistry and physics. Mrs. Tamson developed her own specialized range of tools for educational purposes, a tentative beginning within the science field of physics. By the 1950’s the product range had diversified into a chemical field providing baths and circulators for industry.
