Anton Paar’s new PMA 300 is a budget-friendly Pensky-Martens flash point analyser, with a comprehensive set of features. This instrument is available in addition to the top-of-the-range PMA 500.

The PMA 300’s electric igniter has a ceramic coating which gives it ten times longer lifetime than comparable products. This eliminatescostly downtime and reduces running costs significantly. Intuitively designed, the PMA 300 features a user-friendly interface, easy handling and straightforward cleaning.

This instrument is compliant with ASTM D93, EN ISO 2719, IP 34, JIS K2265-3, and GB/T261. Anton Paar developed this device with safety as a primary consideration: an automatic fire-extinguishing system, combined with a unique, optical fire detection system ensures an exceptionally high level of operator safety..

The PMA 500/300 series is an excellent solution for automatic, high-precision Pensky-Martens flash point testing in the petroleum and chemical industries and for test laboratories. The high-performance instrument determines expected flash points from above ambient temperature up to 410 °C (PMA 500) and 370 °C (PMA 300), respectively.

As the top-of-the-range instrument, PMA 500 cools 20 % faster than competitive instruments, maximising sample throughput. This device’s automated measurements, superb heating control and exceptional ease of use underpin its accuracy.
