New, Highly Advanced Fixed Gas Monitor Offers Safety and Reliability In Highly Hazardous Conditions
Jan 10 2018
MSA recently launched their uncompromising General Monitors S5000.
The S5000 is a fixed gas transmitter which is as advanced as it is rugged, keeping plant and personnel safer for longer in the most demanding of environments while offering the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry.
The replacement for the hugely successful General Monitors S4000, the S5000 can be operated by magnet interface, a single touch button on the display or via Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, up to 23 metres away.
With the capability to have two sensor inputs into one transmitter, the S5000 can double the coverage while minimising outlay.
The sensor offerings have also been expanded to maximize lifetime and minimize maintenance. The S5000 is equipped with class-leading XCell sensors for toxic and oxygen, the industry’s longest lasting catalytic bead, hydrogen sulfide metal-oxide semi-conductor for hydrogen sulphide detection in desert environments, and low-maintenance infra-red sensors. MSA is also introducing a new breakthrough with TruCal™ technology on selected XCell toxic sensors. This innovation compensates for sensor drift due to environmental changes. In other words, the user doesn’t have to touch or calibrate the detector for up to a year and a half.
When everything else fails the General Monitors S5000 just works, all day, every day under the most extreme environments and conditions in the world.
