GfG’s G999P: Versatile gas detector for monitoring VOCs and many other gases
Mar 19 2024
The Polytector III G999P by GfG is a portable multi-gas detector which can be used for monitoring ambient air as well as for analysis of confined spaces. It has a total of five sensor slots, three of which are used to equip electrochemical sensors (for detection of toxic gases, hydrogen and oxygen), one for an infrared sensor (for detection of combustible gases and CO2) and one which is its key feature: a PID sensor.
PID sensors are used to monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs): dangerous mixtures of gases or vapors which can have severe health effects. These are used or generated in manufacturing and processing of many different products across various areas of application and industries and include fuels, exhaust gases, paints, cleaning agents and many more.
The G999P is approved for use in Ex zone 0 and certified as IP67.
Quality you can rely on
All GfG products are known for their high-quality materials and reliability and the G999 series is no exception to this. Whether you select a G999P device or your application requires one of our other G999 models (featuring different sensors on their fifth sensor slot), you can be sure to be supplied with a state-of-the-art portable gas detector.
Any G999 device will warn you of dangerous gas concentrations using a threefold alarm system which includes bright visual signals, vibrations and a 103 db(A) acoustic signal. Their long battery life and sturdy housing make them reliable companions even for long periods of use in difficult conditions.
We offer several additional add-ons you can use to customize your gas detector, adapt it to your specific application or just to facilitate your daily work routine. These include an integrated pump for clearance measurement or a radio module to safeguard lone workers via the TeamLink system.
Switch between different measuring modes with a flick of your finger
The integrated pump enables you to measure the air in confined spaces and containers or to search for leaks with a telescopic probe. Switching to pump mode is as easy as it gets: simply slide the sensor cover up to activate the pump. The G999 will continuously monitor the flow rate and display the intake distance. As soon as the sensor cover is moved back down, it will switch back to standard measuring mode and monitor the ambient air again.
