Tamson Instruments (The Netherlands) has launched a new cooling circulator.

The TLC80-14DP is a low temperature circulator. Minimum temperature is minus 82°C. At minus 80°C the heat removal capacity is still 150 Watt.
The TLC80-14DP is equipped with a bath which has a volume of 14 litres. The bath can be used for general low temperature use but also shows excellent heat-removal performance in combination with Cloud and Pour Point tests. With the compressors running continuously, the fluid temperature is regulated through an electronic controlled heater. A single switch can turn the apparatus into economy mode when the full cooling capacity is not needed. Due to the 4 compressors the cooling circulator can be attached to several applications simultaneously.

The bath conforms to CE regulations. It is also equipped with a mechanical resettable over-temperature safety cut out. Low fluid level is detected electronically. The used cooling system is ozone friendly chlorine free HFC refrigerant. The working temperature range is -82 to ambient (-112°F .. ambient). The set point can be set in steps of 0.1°C.
The overall system accuracy is ± 0.05K. Readout is in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The cooling circulator comes standard with RS232 communication. A pressure pump provides circulation in the bath or via an external circuit. The pressure of the pump is 1 bar maximum and the flow maximum is 16 litres per minute.
