Microcoulometry has traditionally been used to measure chlorine content in VGO and VLSFO to ultimately adjust or remove it for the sake of optimizing the product. However, due to safety concerns associated with microcoulometry, a growing number of labs and refineries are turning to a safer technique – Monochromatic Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (MWDXRF). Learn more about MWDXRF for chlorine analysis in VGO & VLSFO in this whitepaper from XOS.
