PS200 Portable Multi-Gas Detector Offers Rugged Reliability & Customisable Options
Nov 16 2011
The GMI PS200 is a state-of-the-art portable multi-gas detector that monitors and displays up to four hazardous gas conditions simultaneously. Both lightweight and durable, it uses catalytic bead sensor technology to monitor and detect a widerange of combustible gases, and electrochemical sensor technology to monitor and detectcarbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphde, and oxygen deficiency.
Weighing no more than 8 ounces, the PS200 is housed in a sturdy, water resistant dust-proof case for superior durability in harsh environments and confined spaces. Operator interface and calibration are made easy by toggling between simple one-button functions. During normaloperation the high visibility LCD screen continuously displays battery life, real-time gasconcentrations in ppm, and concentration of oxygen by percentage. Maximum and minimumgas concentrations for each sensor can also be programmed and monitored.
During hazardous conditions the LCD screen flashes red and users are alerted via three alarmfunctions: vibration alert, red flashing LEDs, and an audible buzzer with low and high settingsof up to 90db. To ensure the highest level of personal safety, the PS200 is fitted with an optionalman down/motion sensor that activates alarms if the instrument is not moved at a pre-set time. Another option is a built in remote sampling pump ideal for use in confined spaces.
The PS200 features a screen backlight that can be manually switched on in poor lighting conditions. Additional features include: customised user identification code setup, calibration due date display, and standard data logging that can be downloaded to a docking station viaUSB connection to a computer.
The PS200 has a continuous run time of more than 14 hours without the sampling pump and uses a lithium ion rechargeable battery. Maintenance of the portable gas detector is easy and requires no special tools to access the sensors and filters. It includes a standard 2-year warranty.
