With only six different Ex interfaces, the new costeffective 9000 series from PR electronics (Denmark) covers every common Ex
application, whether it involves analogue, digital or HART® signals.
These interfaces have been developed with a view to ensuring a high level of functional safety. They will be certified to SIL 2 on the basis of a Full Assessment according to the requirements of IEC 61508.
The Ex interfaces are mounted on a tailor-made DIN rail - a power rail. The power rail system also ensures supply and supervision of the interfaces.
Configuration is carried out easily via the detachable display which shows help texts in seven languages. The display also provides easy access to the optional SIL functionality and password protection plus readout of process values and module status. Finally, the display allows quick copying of the configuration from one module to other modules of the same type (this feature applies to the signal converters).
