Innovative design and unlimited range make the XL7 on-line viscometer from Hydramotion Ltd (UK) the ideal solution for viscosity measurement at any stage of oil production and processing, from wellhead to refinery. The instrument provides continuous real-time viscosity measurement with high sensitivity and excellent repeatability, even under conditions of high temperature and/or pressure. Any viscosity range can be measured at temperatures of up to 450°C (842°F) and pressures in excess of 20,000 psi.
Designed to withstand the most demanding installation environments, the all-welded alloy XL7 sensor can be mounted in any orientation in tanks, vessels or pipes of any capacity using any process fitting. Every model can be supplied as an intrinsically safe version certified to IEC Ex ia IIC for Hazardous Area locations.
The viscometer’s range of analogue and serial data links and USB port provide easy connectivity for process monitoring or automatic viscosity control.
With no moving parts to wear out or fail in service, the XL7 is a “bolt-on-and-go” device requiring no on-site calibration and virtually no maintenance.”
