ABLE has announced the arrival of Magnetrol's latest innovation, the E4 Modulevel Displacer Transmitter, to the British Isles market. This highly advanced instrument offers superb precision and versatility for a wide range of applications.

The E4 is a loop-powered, two-wire instrument equipped with microprocessor-based electronics and a 4–20 mA/HART digital output. This innovative design enables seamless integration into existing systems, providing enhanced configuration, diagnostics, and trending capabilities via the PACTware PC software package.

The E4 is made up purely of a mechanical design and construction, so end users can be sure of a robust and reliable performance. Its vertical, in-line design reduces the instrument’s weight and simplifies installation. The E4's Range Spring/Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) design offers significant performance advantages over conventional torque tube displacer transmitters; it comes in a variety of configurations and pressure ratings, making it ideal for use in a wide range of applications.

Magnetrol's E4 boasts a Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 2 rating as well as a full range of hazardous location approvals and international certifications. This user-friendly instrument needs no calibration, only simple configuration, saving both time and cost. It includes both 4–20 mA and HART® 7 with PACTware™ PC software and the Field Device Tool (FDT), is AMS ready, and features NAMUR NE 107 diagnostic coverage. The E4's range spring effectively eliminates the effects of turbulence to guarantee a stable output signal. In addition to measuring total level, the E4 is also ideal for interface measurement or specific gravity output. End users have the flexibility to order the entire Modulevel 4 or retrofit the latest transmitter onto an existing displacer assembly.

This versatile instrument is engineered to excel in a wide range of environments, clean and dirty, handling an array of liquids and slurries from light hydrocarbons to heavy acids (SG=0.23 to 2.20).
