Automatic cloud and pour point analysis for petroleum and biofuel applications

Koehler Instrument Company’s Automatic Cloud and Pour Point Analyser is a highly advanced instrument, developed for use in petroleum-related labs for measuring cloud point by optical detection and pour point by automatic tilt. Cloud point measurements act as an index of the lowest temperature of a petroleum product or a biodiesel fuel's efficacy in some applications.

Wax crystals can cause filters to plug when used in certain fuel systems. The pour point of a petroleum product is an index of the lowest temperature of its use in certain applications. Flow characteristics, including pour point, can be pivotal for the correct operation of lubrication oil systems, fuel systems, and petroleum/gasoline blending and pipeline operations.
