North-east Scotland-based EPIT is an accredited CompEx approved training centre. The CompEx five-day course and its affiliations have been added to their already comprehensive training portfolio, and the scheme is being delivered from their refurbished training facility at Blackburn, Aberdeen - featuring lecture rooms as well as a hands-on practical area.

The facility in Blackburn can accommodate technicians from the electrical and instrumentation disciplines who will benefit from modern and updated practical training stations. To date EPIT have successfully carried out training to numerous attendees within the scheme, with a high success rate. Reports to date have indicated that all who participated enjoyed their experience and felt it enhanced their knowledge.

EPIT courses are supported by a range of demonstration units - highlighting the effects of misuse and the need for training to meet with national, international and European standards and directives. In addition to the CompEx scheme, EPIT also offer a range of competency-based courses for Ex/ATEX solutions, ATEX Guidance and Standards, High/Low Voltage and Intrinsic Safety Principles.

EPIT also provide technical training, competency assessment and comprehensive consultancy services including DSEAR, CE marking, hazardous area zone classification, risk assessments and verification of equipment and installations in hazardous areas. The EPIT group has developed an international reputation for the quality of training it delivers to course participants. They have formed a sister company in Kazakhstan, KAZEX, as well as working closely with companies in India, USA and Singapore, carrying out Ex competency training for their engineers. These are just some examples of EPIT’s ability to provide first-class training on a global basis.
