Direct Measurement of the Real Gap in Rheological Experiments

Mar 28 2006

Errors in gap dimensions directly influence the accuracy of measuring results in parallel-plate and cone-and-plate measurements. Therefore, an accurate gap setting is needed in order to measure rheological properties accurately. To avoid errors in gap size which can occur in temperature sweep experiments, Anton Paar has developed TruGapTM control for Physica rheometers. TruGapTM measures the gap directly using a magnetic induction method and adjusts it to the desired position, ensuring the most accurate rheological data.
